The Firm is pleased to provide ongoing legal support to ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (“IPR”) in its landmark public-private partnership with the Ogun State Government of Nigeria. This partnership aims to develop and manage the Remo Economic Industrial Cluster (the “Remo IDC”) into a sustainable and integrated special economic zone. The project recently received a significant boost with the President of Nigeria designating the Remo IDC as a free trade zone.

The Remo IDC is strategically structured to include an Aerotropolis with a Cargo International Airport, a special agro-industrial processing zone (SAPZ), a logistics zone, an industrial zone, commercial and residential estates, and other projects. This special economic zone aims to attract leading industries, stimulate industrial development in Ogun State, and foster trade with the broader West African market – a region of approximately 400 million consumers.

Our Firm has advised on diverse aspects of this project, including transaction agreements, economic and free trade zone frameworks, investment protection for foreign investors, fiscal and tax incentives, and the legal framework for airport construction and operation in Nigeria.
