Overview
Nigeria’s preeminent practice shaping the future of energy and infrastructure transformation
Aluko & Oyebode’s Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure practice advises on Nigeria’s most transformational projects, from upstream oil and gas developments to renewable energy installations, power generation projects, transportation infrastructure and telecommunications networks. We are Nigeria’s leading practice for complex project financings, concession arrangements and regulatory advisory across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Our clients include international oil companies, Nigerian upstream and midstream operators, power generation and distribution companies, renewable energy developers, multilateral development banks, export credit agencies, infrastructure funds and government entities. We handle the full spectrum, from greenfield project development to M&A in operating assets, regulatory compliance, commercial contracts and dispute resolution.
We navigate Nigeria’s regulatory landscape, including the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and infrastructure sector regulators. We structure transactions under the Petroleum Industry Act 2021, the Electric Power Sector Reform Act and PPP frameworks to deliver bankable projects in a challenging environment.
Our team has advised on many of Nigeria’s largest energy and infrastructure financings, and continues to work at the centre of the sector’s transformation.
