Overview

The go-to Construction and Engineering Team, trusted for delivering complex projects from concept to conflict.

We combine sector fluency in FIDIC, NEC, and JCT forms with bespoke EPC/EPCM and PPP frameworks to de‑risk delivery and unlock capital in some of the country’s most coveted projects. Our lawyers align contracting, insurance, performance security, and change control with financing and regulatory requirements so projects reach commercial operation on time and within budget. Our disputes team safeguards value with disciplined claims management, DAB/DAAB processes, and multi‑forum arbitration strategies built for engineering-heavy controversies.

Our Africa-wide reach is amplified by our alliance with ALN, enabling coordinated execution on multi‑jurisdictional builds, regional supply chains, and cross‑border financings. We also work seamlessly with leading international law firms on export credit-backed projects, global EPC frameworks, and award enforcement; recent collaborations include training and knowledge initiatives with firms such as Hogan Lovells, Linklaters, and Baker McKenzie focused on infrastructure disputes management. The result is integrated, on‑the‑ground delivery informed by international best practice- precisely what complex construction mandates demand.

Clients choose us for deal‑tested judgment, decisive execution under pressure, and forward‑looking risk management that anticipates inflexion points before they disrupt cost, schedule, or performance.

Services

Our foremost disputes team resolves delay, variation, defects, payment and termination controversies through DAB/DAABs, arbitration and litigation, combining engineering insight with disciplined claims management to protect client value.

Through our ALN alliance and deep collaborations with the world’s leading international law firms, we coordinate multi-country construction programmes, supply chains and financings to international standards with on-the-ground execution. Our expert team supports country construction programs, supply chains, and financings, balancing international standards and local execution realities.

Our expert team implements proactive claims systems, captures contemporaneous entitlement and negotiates equitable adjustments, preserving delivery momentum and counterpart relationships without sacrificing a single valid claim.

Our recognised ESG and HSE practice integrates sustainability, health and safety and local content requirements into contracts and reporting, aligning with funder standards and eliminating regulatory exposure across project lifecycles and supply chains.

Our leading team structures and negotiates bankable FIDIC, NEC and JCT contracts, aligning risk, finance and insurance with precision to deliver schedule and operability certainty on Nigeria’s most demanding projects.

Nigeria’s recognised PPP and project finance practice designs and implements concession structures, government support frameworks and financing solutions that crowd in capital for transport, utilities and social infrastructure.

Our award-winning team guides authorities and bidders through procurement, development rights, step-in and handback regimes, performance KPIs and local content compliance to secure the award and timely delivery.

We advise on site assembly, title and permitting, development management, green building standards, leasing and sales structures, and REIT formation to optimise capital stacks for commercial, industrial, and residential schemes.
